The Canine Campsite is basically a forest clearing. What's so unique about it, Is that the forest clearing has hallow redwood trees all around it. Soul and a Few Others managed to kick all of them open, and use each of them as Homes. they saved the largest one for Soul. Originally, There was another Camp, but that place was too close to the City, and invaded.

Weaving her way across the soft grass, Margo's paws made no noise she as she walked. Well, more like jogged. She was so tired. She had left to patrol the city, and see if she could gather food, but there had been none. Just the Consecrated. They chased her farther away from her home, so she had been gone for, nearly two days. Did the pack miss me? Probably! What would they do without me? Laughing that had a little snort in it, the orange female came into a clearing and looked around. Seemed no one was there. But their scents were close. Or maybe they were here, Earlier?

Cocking her head to the side, Margo lifting up her snout, just a little, opened her maw, and let out a swooping sound. It was her howl. She was alerting her pack that she was home from the hunt, unsuccessful.

Soul heard the load whoop of the jester, and immediatly stopped eating. It was awfully quiet at this time, and the howl was a relief. He stood up, His frighteningly muscled body standing tall, As he then barked a reply. His face is rather Serious, but with a bit of a 'I'm fine' expression. He still had his face of this position, As he spotted margo, The orange-coated Jester. He strolled up to her calmly, and tipped his head. This usually meant 'Good Morning!' or something similar. He said in his frighteningly deep voice. "So you didn't find anything... eh?" The tall brute said, Waiting for a reply from his friend.

Looking about, she spotted a dark figure coming her way, but didn't panic. It was Soul. The pack's leader or something like that. She never really understood the ranks among them. But all she knew was Soul was a higher rank then her, and she needed to respect that. And then when she thought there would be an awkward silence, he spoke.
'"So you didn't find anything... eh?"
And Margo pawed the ground. She never once came back home without a meal for her new pack. But today, she had. It felt awful, like she had failed them. But she'd never let Soul know she was that, deeply upset. So, she kept her face blank.

"On my way around, those monsters chased me farther north.
And all that...way, there was nothing!"
And suddenly her face shifted from blank to distraught. "Can you believe it? Nothing! At all!" She cried, shifting her weight and letting out a low whine that sounded more of a growl.

Soul listened contently, Nodding his head after. He looked down at the female, And softly said "Calm Down. We'll go again to the abandoned grocery Tomorrow. It's too dangerous at night." He said calmly, Not really acting that disappointed. He flicked his ear, as he looked at her. The green eye he posessed was calm, While the red eye was fillled with slight disappointment. He gave her a sort of wise look, As he said, It sounding very deep, Yet not on purpose "Now let's go eat on the feedings you brought in yesterday." He said, As he trotted to the pile, His tail held high. He was confronted with a 3/4 Eaten Month-Old rotting deer. It was old, But it was better than the things the humans used to have. He grinned at the meal, for at this point, He was drooling for even rotting meat.

The Canine Campsite Empty Re: The Canine Campsite

Post by Marr Fri Jun 07, 2013 7:12 pm

Marr flopped down a few feet away from the food pile, letting out a sigh. Life was good. The puppies were in good hands, she had eaten recently, and nothing could get into the campsite.
Wincing, she corrected herself. Things weren't quite that perfect. She had set the pups on an aggressor and left, she had only managed to snatch a few bites of rotten meat yesterday, and she couldn't spend her entire life in the camp.
"Mother of god, I'm bored. There is literally nothing to do. I miss being an aggressor. Ripping zombies apart... now that was living. I feel like a housewife."
Her gloomy thoughts were dispelled when one of the pups rammed into her leg at full force, enough to bruise. The pup grinned up at her, showing fur caught in it's ever-so-slightly bloodstained teeth.
"Well hey there sweety, watcha got there?" Marr asked in a soft, happy voice. "Didja get that big wolf bad?"
Marr sported her own grin when the pup nodded enthusiastically.
"So you knocked him flat on his hairy back, right?" Marr asked, then sigh againwhen the little wolf deliberately looked away from her.
"Well don't just stand there! Remember what I told you about the ankles. The bigger they are, the harder they fall. Six of you little anklebiters can take him down. Now get going!" She exclaimed, lightly cuffing the pup around the ears, then wagging her tail a little as the mini-wolf spend off.
"Now I remember why I'm a guardian." Marr grinned, then stood up and made her way to the food pile itself. "I wonder if there's anything special for such a clever little wolf... the little kid deserves a treat for all that effort."

Looking up, she lifted her eyebrows. "Calm Down. We'll go again to the abandoned grocery Tomorrow. It's too dangerous at night."Now let's go eat on the feedings you brought in yesterday." Soul said, and Margo nodded. I shouldn't be so hard on myself. She told herself, and walked back towards the fill pile with Soul.

Kicking a rock with her front paw, she spotted another wolf laying there, and then a pup came towards her. It had to be Marr. Margo didn't really know the female, but that didn't matter. This was a pack. And together they'd survive.
Smiling a tight lipped smile at Marr's way, she went to a dead deer, it's flesh rotting in a few places, and leaned down to take a bite.

Marr nodded amiably to a light orange she-wolf. Margo, that was her name. Picking the opposite side of the carcass from Margo, Marr took a few bites of semi-putrid flesh for herself, a selected a few relatively fresh pieces for the pups.
Turning around, Marr saw a large wolf wandering a little too close to one of the braver pups, Gio. She set down the meat by the rest of her charges, smiling as they tore into it like proper little hunters, and then made her way over the Gio.
The other wolf was giant, a hulking mass of white and tan fur; with angry eyes. Not someone Marr knew. And she didn't want strangers hanging around any of the puppies under her care.
Placing herself between the pup and the other wolf, Marr let out a warning snarl while nudging Gio back with her hind leg.
"I'd like you to stay away from the pups, mister. I'd rather they keep away from bad influences. And for all I know, you're one of 'em." She growled, stance aggressive.

"Listen lady, I'm not the one starting any damn trouble!" The tall brute snarled, As he looked at the small female. He didn't really have much to say, So he just snarled. "I don't even see why your being so fucking Protective. I mean, The pup can fend for himself! my pups did, Anyway." He began, Really going into fight. Stone jumped infront of Russia, whimpering for him to stop. "Stone, Cut it out!" he snarled, As he pushed the wolf away not hard. He curled his lips at the wolf again, Waiting for a response. He stood even taller, The hackles raised on his back as he snarled more. He look freaking scary as hell.

"Well, I'm sure yer pups are just fine, complete with abandonment issues and a horrible lack of social skills. But here it's my job to make sure these pups grow up strong and mentally stable. I'm supposed to protect them, and I've done a damn good job so far. Which means I'll have to to politely ask you to GET. THE FUCK. AWAY." Marr snarled at the wolf. She softened for a moment, ready to back down, when the brute's friend jumped between them.
But the giant wolf chose to remain aggressive, putting on a show that scared Marr just the tiniest bit. "Look you bastard, I'm not a nanny because I'm too soft to fight," She growled narrowing her eyes into slits, and bristling her already spiked fur until she looked ready to explode.
"I was a killer once, and I'm a nanny now because I'm so fucking vicious it rubs off onto the pups. If you wanna fight me, I'll rip your fucking throat out."

"You wanna fight bitch? Let's go!" he snarled, As he leaped on the wolf, Pinning her down. It was rather easy, So he loosened his grip, but still stood tall. He tried his best to aim at the wolf's throat, Dodging the strong snaps aiming at his throat. He dodged to the side, Snapping in the air. It sounded like bones clashing together. He looked VERY frightening. He was drunk at this moment, So he honestly didn't act correctly. He was very hostile when he was drunk, but fought 1/3 worse than how he did if he was clear. He snarled, Shaowing his blood stained canines. They weren't the blood from The female, However. Suddenlu, When he was ontop of the female, He was suprised by GIANT figure looming over him. Little did he know that it as his long lost half-Brother. "ENOUGH!!!" the wolf boomed, and then made even russia freeze in his tracks. Then he noticed it was Soul. He looked at soul, and he honestly leaped in joy. He yelped in happiness.

The larger wolf pinned lunged and pinned Marr down in one fluid movement. ' He's good...' she thought, growling silently. The other loosened his grip on her and- wait, did he just pity her. No. Nononono. She was going to rip this bastards throat out and claw his bell open!. But he just kept on dodging! Her jaws snapped shut on empty air while Marr's claws raked at her opponents belly.
When the other wolf lunged again, she saw it coming and twisted away. The other wolf missed her completely, but pulled back with a blood-stained grin. He was, getting sloppier, Marr could almost taste his blood and- hold on, how was there blood on his teeth if she was fine?
The fight was abruptly cancelled by the looming figure and loud snarl of Soul. Marr's attacker froze, then leaped into the air. Marr had to move fast to avoid being crushed. She rolled onto her feet again as the other let out a happy yip. Tilting her head, Marr looked between the two wolves in confusion.

Post by Margo Sat Jun 08, 2013 5:32 pm

Cocking her head to the side, the female's jaw widened and attached itself to the Deer's hind leg. Locking her jaw, Margo shook he head back and forth furiously, the sound of flesh ripping filled the night. A the leg tore of, she backed away from the group, ready to eat alone. At dinner time, everyone got territorial. And Margo wasn't looking for another Brawl. She's been in them to many times.

And just as she was about the lay down and eat the rotting meat of the old deer, a large brute, a bit smaller then Soul, came closer then any wolf had dare do before, towards Marr. When she was with her pups. Lifting her silver eyes, Marg licked the blood around her maw and growled under her breath. A fight was going down. And now. The male challenged Marr and then he lunged, easily pinning her down. Baring her fangs and making a clicking noise, Margo stepped forward to break it up, only when Soul beat her to it. Which she gladly excepted. If Margo stepped in, she'd likely become a problem in it. Meaning, she'd attack the Male, then Marr. Without meaning to, of course. And then the large male looked at Soul. As if he'd known Soul his whole life. Clucking her tongue, Margo swished her tail and went back to her leg. Seems Soul had it under control.

Soul looked in shock. He broke the fight, Only the fight was between his trusted pack mate... and his long lost brother. He couldn't believe it. 'Russia!!!!" He screamed, As he leaped on the wolf. He was never this happy. "Were were you! I looked for you before Aussie went! I thought you were dead... Were's stone! He okay?" He started storming Russia with words, His tail wagging and his togue lolling out. He barked softly, as he said, His voice deep, Yet happy. "Wow... have you shrunken?" he said, Looking at his older half-Brother. Soul towered over him. It used to be the complete opposite a year ago... Hmm...

Post by Marr Sat Jun 08, 2013 11:13 pm

Very confused, Marr looked between the two wolves, trying to figure out what was going on. So far, what she knew was she had gotten in a fight with some wolf she'd never seen before, magically gotten pinned (in her defense, she was pretty tired from taking care of the pups), Soul had stepped in to stop the fight, and now apparently Soul and the other brute were long lost.... somethings?
Okay, the big wolf was Russia, and the one that had first tried to stop the fight was probably 'Stone'. And Russia had somehow shrunk.
"Soul, what's going on?" She asked, confused.

The Canine Campsite Empty Re: The Canine Campsite

Post by Rin Mon Jun 10, 2013 4:42 pm

Rin took a long sniff at the air, taking in the different scents around him. He liked this place.. of course there was still a smell of rot and death lingering on everything but it was faint.. this area was farther away from the city of course. There were the usual smells of a forest, vegetation and different scents of prey and predators that had trekked through here. Even though he could clearly smell the hare that had recently been through here, that wasn't his main concern. The canid had already eaten and so saw no need to feast again, he was hear because of the smell of wolves radiating from deeper into the forest. He could hear them now to, loud barks and snarls that soon died down. Those barks and snarls had concerned him greatly, if there were hostile noises it may mean that this group wasn't a surviving group banded together.. it could be to hostile groups up against each other. The last thing Rin would have needed was to be caught in a fight between to groups.

Of course there was also that chance that they were fighting the dead.. only Rin didn't smell any clear scents of death.. just the hazy smell of it that was always around him. Rin honestly hadn't seen a group in ages, not since he left the one he had just been in for about a week.. well he hadn't exactly wanted to leave ti but the group was forced apart. A lot of the wolves die defending the territory they had claimed in the city. There was a mass hoard of zombies and even though Rin tried to convince them the city would never be save they didn't listen and stayed there.

Maybe a wiser wolf would have turned tail and run as soon as his group went to the city, but Rin wasn't so much wise. He had been more concerned that if he left the whole group would label him as a traitor or coward. Rin could never stand for being called either. He was not a traitor, he would never abandon people who need him and he was not a coward. That was his issue, he wanted to be braver and so he didn't protest anymore when they said no, he just went with them. When the zombie attacked he fought bravely until the wolves around him were dropping dead and being eaten. There was maybe only 6 left when he ran away.

The blue eyed male still felt terrible at leaving the remaining 6 to die but he wasn't going to go in suicidal. There was a fine line between brave and just down right moronic, and he was not planning to die that day so he left. Sure he wasn't exactly responsible for all those 18 wolves deaths but he felt like it was, even if some of those remaining wolves lived he felt like they would still die, just like Rin figured he would die. It was the tragic fate that they were all looking forward to, finally being let go from the iron grip of hell and dieing.

It was quite sad that today that was the one thought that kept him going, death. It was even a bit funny, the one thing that ends life is the very thing that is keeping him alive, the thought that one day he'll finally be able to leave this damned place behind. He let a small dry laugh of a mixture of disgust in himself and amusement. He remembered that some creatures had killed themselves when this all started. Rin had always seen that as a selfish deed to kill yourself. You're only making it harder for those who loved you to carry on, why would you ever do that to someone? Even though Rin had been teased by his relatives he knew that they still loved him and he still loved them. Even though his dad gave him such a hard time about being so feminine he knew his dad still cared about him. He knew that when he ran away he had only made it harder on everyone in his old pack, but he couldn't stand their teasing and rules.

He let out a low sigh and looked around. While the male had been so consumed in his memories and thoughts of death he had walked quite a while. The trees were thinning out and through them he could see the group he had smelled. He was pleased to see that there wasn't enough wolves for it to be a fight between to groups and then realized it must have been a fight among the ranks of this pack. One wolf with interesting fur coloring had screamed out something about Russia then asked about stones. 'What a strange guy' he thought to himself, peering through the trees at the pack. 'Maybe..' he pulled his eyes over to look at the wolf who seemed slightly ruffled with fur sticking up in places and such. 'His name is Russia?' Rin nodded slowly, that would make so much more since.

Clearing his throat to make his presence known Rin stepped into the area. He felt his heart beat speed up now as he ran through what he would say. He knew that with most groups they weren't exactly keen to welcoming strangers but maybe this group was different, they all seemed dandy despite the fact they had just recently got into a fight. "Hello" he said loud enough to get attention in his gruff tone.

The Canine Campsite Empty Re: The Canine Campsite

Post by Margo Tue Jun 11, 2013 11:57 am

Margo awaited to find out what Soul and this Russia male had to say. It was strange. Russia came out of no where and started a brawl with Marr, and then
Soul and him were starting a conversation as if they had none each other for years. By the looks of it, the probably did, to.

Grabbing her leg meat, she walked a few meters away. It didn't matter what happened. Margo would eat. Tearing into it again, she smiled and tried to savor the feeling out blood swirl through her mouth and intertwine with the meat, making it very delicious.

It was silent, peaceful, which made it all the better. Until it was broken by a twig snapping and a voice. A male's voice. '"Hello", he said, and Marg sharply turned her head around and spotted a male with a pelt that was so strange to Margo. Letting out a "Hmmmm" sound, she lifted her head, as well as her tail, and pulled back her lips and snarled. Just to see what he would do.
Most loners would either attack Margo, seeing her as a threat and a challenge, or they'd haul tail.

Her snarls got deeper and more aggressive, as if it was an instinct. And it probably was. But then it all died down, and Margo stopped growling. She didn't know why, but she did. This wolf didn't look savage. At all. Turning her narrowed silver eyes to Soul, she gave an "Ahem." and tipped her nose in the loners direction.

Jade watched the whole scene from afar, having just recently got back from collecting herbs. Russia and Stone, Eh? Clucking her tongue, she shook her head and went back to sorting the herbs.
There was Aloe Vera, Comfrey, Dock, Willow, Alder, Burdock, Shepard Purse, Juniper, Marigold, and Alfalfa.

Jade was in luck to have found all of this. She had no idea how they had even grew in the areas were she found 'em. But that didn't matter. Or, well to her it didn't. She was just happy she found the herbs. Gently placing all the herbs in a small, rock, looking cave, Jade stood up and walked out of the bushes.

"You wouldn't believe what I found. A whole bunch of dem Herbs!" She yipped happily, and watched Margo get up, almost predatory, and snarl at something. or someone. Getting closer, Jade spotted a male, a bit girly looking, come out of the shadows and approach. Walking closer, she swooshed her tail so it touched Margo's shoulder and looked at the male. Was he injured? Did he seek medical attention? Or was he just here to join our little group?!?

The Canine Campsite Empty Re: The Canine Campsite

Seeing a ebony female raise her head and tail high in aggression and let out a snarl Rin let a growl bellow out from his throat, his mouth opening up just a small bit to let out the threatening noise. Looking around with his icy optics and looking at all the wolves he knew that he could never take them, but if this wolf was going to be unreasonably aggressive then he would go down trying. This she-wolf obviously had no right to be acting so defensive, had RIn come in screaming and growling, trying to force these strangers into submission? No, I didn't think so.

Hearing her snarl get deeper and slightly more loud and aggressive Rin raised his tail and shifting into a stern fighting position. "Cool it woman!" he barked loudly, still a hint of growl in his voice. He was ready to attack this female, but he wouldn't unless she attacked first. There was no need for useless violence in a world already covered in death. It would only cause even more shit for everyone, there was simply no room to be hostile towards you're own kind. It was a worthless effort that would do nothing but bring pain and suffering, there was already enough of that in the world.

This black she-wolf reminded him of his sister. Just as soon as she had gotten aggressive and began growling she had simply just dropped it. It made zero sense to Rin, just as his sister's actions made no sense to him. It was as if he was being tested, which really brushed Rin the wrong way. He did not need the judgement of other wolves, they were probably just as flawed as him and he had his own concise to give him crap about the little things like how he looked and acted.

Seeing as the wolf had dropped all signs of being aggressive, Rin slowly sat down, rapping his lightly colored brown tail around his paws. The new wolf who entered the area seemed slightly more friendly, though she didn't say anything she hadn't gone ape shit and started snarling and growling at him. To Rin, that qualified as nice. Unless she did something to cause anyone that didn't deserve it pain or other wise unreasonable aggression towards one she was in the safe.

As the black wolf from before turned to the odd looking wolf and cleared her throat to get his attention Rin sighed softly. Now he had slight doubts about joining this group. Were they always this frazzled and unorginized with defenses down? He hoped not, cause if it was always like this where only two wolves in an entire group of seven had noticed the presence of a stranger he wasn't so sure they would be very good at noticing when there were corpses among them.

The Canine Campsite Empty Re: The Canine Campsite

Margo waited a few seconds, trying to get Soul's attention, but it seemed that wouldn't be happening any time soon. Sighing, she turned her eyes to a sudden wolf, she touched her shoulder with it's tail. Jade. Margo had only ever once met the female, but most of the time, Jade was off in the bushes, collecting and sorting out Herbs.

Trying to not seem rude, she smiled and turned her eyes back to the new male wolf. What did he want? Sitting down, and gave the male a small, tight lipped smile. "My apologizes Sir. My alpha seems...busy..so I suppose I'll be asking you the questions."

Clearing her throat, she continued. "Who are you? Where did you come from? Why are you here? And....have you been followed, Bitten, scratched?" She asked, narrowing her eyes ever so slightly. No consecrated had ever found their campsite, but if one of those Zombies were to have followed this male..But, a few wolves had come, being bitten and scratched, and Margo and some of the others had to either drive them out or kill them on the spot. It was hard, seeing the wolves beg for a cure, and then being turned down so harshly. But we did it to survive. And when we killed them...we simply just put them out of their misery. She reminded herself, and awaited the male with the pretty eyes to reply.

Soul infact was busy, and Wasn't able to answer Marr. All he said was "Russia and Stone Are My Brothers-" As he was then cut off by Margo. She was addressing him to the stranger. Soul snarled, Showing Dominance, As he raced over to the male. He almost TOWERED over him. He growled again, Showing dominance, As he sharpened his voice. "Who are you?" He asked, His cold british accent showing to it's greatest potential. His lips curled up, Sort of twitching, Wanting to snarl. He looked at the wolf with angry eyes,  One Red, Other Green, As he growled again. He was getting impatient, and you don't want to see Soul angry or Impatient.

Unsatisfied by Soul's answer, Marr was about to ask more, but the alpha raced away to challenge a stranger. Marr snarled, once in the stranger's direction, gave one last angry glance toward Russia, and then left to make sure all the puppies were all in a group together.
"Selkie, watch the pups. Make sure none of them stray towards the strangers." She told one of the oldest pups, then stalked over to the newcomer, standing beside Jade and watching the stranger warily.
He didn't look like much of a threat, but neither did the zombies at first. Marr glanced at Soul, seeing signs that the alpha's patience was thinning. The wolf better appease Soul before things got messy.

Margo was just about the growl at the wolf, demanding answers, when a large brute, obviously Soul, brushed past her and went right away, to the stranger wolf, snarling.
Backing away, she shook her head. I could have taken care of this wolf! But she didn't speak it out loud. She just turned around and walked back to her leg. Picking the limb up, she placed it back into the kill pile. She was done eating for today.
Coughing, she rolled her shoulders and walked back, standing near Jade and Marr.

"Soul, he's alright." She whispered, trying to settle down the grand wolf.
She didn't want to see another fight break out. But the female wasn't sure if Soul heard her or not. After all, she had only whispered the words.

Spirit was out hunting. She had caught 5 medium sized trouts. She usually catches 4 trouts, but she caught 5, and was pleased. She trotted back to the clearing, wagging her tail. Then she saw two strange wolfs, and her tail stopped wagging. She put the fish down and walked over to Soul. “Soul, who are the wolves?” She asked. She hoped to get an answer, but the large brute didn't reply. She walked back to the fish and ate one, then put the others in the food pile. She walked to the strange wolf, and narrowed  her eyes. She was about to bite, but Soul stopped her. “I could of easily taken that wolf down by myself,” She mumbled. Still growling at the strange wolf, she walked to the food pile and ate a bit of the elk, then walked over to the three females. “What's going on? Who are those two wolves?” She asked.
